The site is a place for making, not only in the pursuit of the finished building laid out in plans and instructions, but in forms created by pure intuition, accident or as a by product of an intended act. The surface of the site is where these forms emerge resting briefly before they are swept away.

I am always drawn to these moments, capturing them through photography, drawings, relief prints or rubbings or adding my own contributions through arrangements of material.

These arrangements are inspired by the guys on site who are constantly adjusting their environment, turning it into something new, their understanding of architecture is very different to those who inhabit or use buildings in a conventional way. Their environment is always alive with sights and sounds, not a silent shelter at rest.
